1. TYPE OF CAR. You may use the Ford Mk 2 Granada Saloon car or the Mk3 Saloon 2. STRIPPING. You must remove all glass and interior and exterior trim. 3. WHEELS & TYRES. Any steel or ally wheel up to 7" J may be used that fits safely. You may use any conventional road tyre up to 215, the lowest profile allowed is the "60" series. No Yokohama, Avon 7.3 wide safety, town and country, Mud & snow cut or competition type tyres allowed.
4. SUSPENSION. Suspension components must remain standard, but may be uprated but not adjustable and may be modified to achieve camber. Springs are free.
5. ROLL BAR. A roll bar must be fitted as per National rules, but this must be of the "manufactured" type and not Accrows or scaffold poles etc.
6. FUEL SYSTEM. As per National rules. 7. ELECTRIC'S. As per National rules. 8. COOLING. AAs per National rules, with the exception that cars must be fitted with a radiator only. 9. ENGINES. Y You may use any Ford Granada engine built as per National rules. With standard gear box and clutch as manufactured in the range. 10. CARBURETTOR. As per National rules. 11. DIFFERENTIALS. Differentials may be locked by welding only. No limited slip differentials allowed , even if fitted as standard. Differential ratios are free.
12. STRENGTHENING. Apart from welding the front bumper, slam panel and headlight apertures there must be no other welding forwards of the centre line of the front wheels. You may weld the inner wings to the chassis but with no added metal. There is no restriction on welding backwards from the centre line of the front wheels. The minimum requirement is that all doors MUST be welded shut. No exterior door plate is to be fitted. You may also fit a floor pan, max 3mm, in the drivers side foot well. Front wings may be folded under and bolted. Bonnets must be bolted down using a maximum of four bolts, and corner plates to secure the rear of the bonnet may also be fitted. You may weld 1.5 x 1.5 inch box iron in the top of the doors, this must NOT go past the A or C pillars and only one each side, this MUST be done if the inner skins are removed, you may weld this to the roll bar with a maximum of a six inch triangular gusset. No other box or tube can be used. A crush area must always exist between the front wheels and the slam panel area. You must fit a flat drivers door plate inside the car minimum of 3mm thick. This plate must be the actual door size and be welded between the A & B pillars.
13. BUMPERS. These must be standard Ford Granada bumpers and may be welded on. On the Mk3 Granada the bumper must be a maximum of 100 x 50 x 1.50 mm C channel ( Lorry side rails ) Any fabrication for valances etc must be of a material no thicker than the original bodywork thickness. Over prepared cars will not be allowed to race.
14. SAFETY EQUIPMENT. As per National rules. 15. FUEL. As per National Rules. 16. ROOF COLOURS. As per National rules. 17. FINAL PREPARATION. Cars must be finished and painted to a high standard and preferably touched up for each meeting, your racing number on the side of the car is free but must be readable and in a contrasting colour to your car. You must also put your number on the rear passenger side of your cars roof and this MUST be painted white on black. Strictly no registered team colours allowed. Your name only MUST be painted on the sun visor.
18. RACING RULES. This is a contact class of racing but contact will be restricted to front and rear contact only, by pushing or spinning out the car in front ( towards the infield ), unnecessary heavy contact will be penalised. Strictly no head-ons, t-boning or following in is allowed.
