SHAKEDOWN II      A very good start to the season with a good crowd, good weather and with 78 Bangers and 27 Saloons in the pits we couldn’t have asked for a better start to the season. In-between all the various wars we had some race winners! 550 Rob Farrington & 91 Dave Barwick won the heats 188 Matt Fuller the Consi and 395 Stephen Hale the Final with 113 Ian Beaumont winning the DD race and 552 Blacknuts the last car. The 2L Saloons had 569 James Radcliffe winning 2 heats, 311 Steve Newman won in Heat 1 and 402 Shaun Webster the Final.

MARCH 18^th    The Group A’s and 1300’s got their first meeting of the new season underway with some good close racing from both formulas with 788 Neal Gardener and newcomer 752 Dean Searle taking the heats and 608 Glen Embling the Final. The heats in the A’s were won by 100 Mike Collins on his return to the Arena with 6 Mark West taking heat 2 and 63 Michael Outen the Final and his first win in the A’s. The Glads and Bad Co etc continued to war with each other leaving 567 Gary Brown to win heat 1 and 188 Matt Fuller heat 2 and the Final, the Rawlins was won by 196 Joey Palmer with 271 Dean Goodearl the last car running after 395 Stephen Hale was Black flagged for turning around and attacking on the speedway track.

MARCH 25^th     A good turn out of Ministox saw some excellent racing and heat wins for 580 Rob Hull his little brother 581 Billy and 540 Danny Morrow with 590 Micky Galloway taking the Final. The Lightning Rods were down in numbers but still produced some good racing with the heats going to 107 Brian Thomas, 164 Dave Imber and 111 Vic Bilkey the Final going the way of 240 Lee Morrow. The Banger wars continued with some heavy hitting some of it a bit dangerous as far as I am concerned, but heat wins for 567 Gary Brown and 196 Joey Palmer with the Final going to a SPEDEWORTH visitor! 730 Dean Mayes. Not only that but he won the Rawlins as well. What’s the matter with you boys? 348 Sonny Sherwood was the last car running after an epic battle with 242 Ricky Korpiela.

TRANSPONDERS & MYLAPS   We have been having a bit of trouble uploading the results directly after the meetings for some reason, it may just be that the traffic is a bit heavy at that time of the evening, so recent results have not been going on until Monday or Tuesdays, we apologise for this and will continue to try and get them uploaded on the day. The best way to access the results is to go on our website and click on links and then click on other links and scroll down until you get to the mylaps link and click on that and it will take you directly to the Arena results page.

CARAVAN RACE RULES   Only touring type Caravans are allowed. All the stuff like cookers, showers, toilets, beds and tables etc must be removed before bringing your caravan to the Arena to race. Your caravan should be ready to race completely empty with the exception of the structural stiffeners and ideally removed from the raceway afterwards by you the driver.
