SWAFFHAM  Spedeworth East Anglia have sadly announced that they will no longer be running any meetings at Swaffham in 2007. As with many tracks around the country they have experienced low spectator attendance figures for a couple of years now and feel that they can no longer continue to sustain such huge losses. The actual cost of putting a meeting on these days is enormous and we sympathise with the Promotion after all their efforts to make things work at Swaffham over the years. At the moment we do not know of anyone prepared to take on the running of the Stadium

AUTO JUMBLE  The National Street Rod Association’s Annual Auto Jumble is on Sunday 4^th March at 10am. If you haven’t attended this event before it is well worth a visit, it is a huge event with lots of stalls selling just about everything from a rusty old wing for a Model T Ford to brand new whatever!

SPEEDWAY   We have new owners for the Speedway team this season, they are very enthusiastic and are looking to improve the fortunes of the Team and making a few changes such as their race night is now reverting back to a Friday at 8pm. They are also looking at the possibility of changing the name of the Team to the Lakeside Hammers. We wish them the best of luck for the 2007 season.

MALLORY PARK & ROCKINGHAM   Mallory Park is back on the calendar this year the date is 17^th June and the Lightning Rods and Group A’s are invited, no further details available at the moment. The Rockingham weekend is the 15^th / 16^th September and again the Lightning Rods are on the bill, more details to follow.

1300 STOCK CARS   The Track Championship for the 1300’s is kindly being sponsored by Ovalsport Ltd. Apart from trophies for the first three in the points, trophies will also be available for the highest scoring white and yellow top drivers who start the season in those grades. There will also be a trophy for the best ex Ministox driver who is in his/hers first FULL season in the Stock Cars.
